Bellringers Bangor

The Band

The Current Band

The current band of ringers all have mixed abilities, with some learners just starting to learn Plain Hunt, some trying to get comfortable with touches of Plain Bob and Stedman Doubles, and the odd one who can do a whole lot more.

Practice night usually involves ringing Bob Doubles and Grandsire Doubles and often other methods such as Bob Minor and Stedman.  We regularly try out different methods from the "red book".  We also ring Plain Hunt to help introduce the learners to method ringing.

Members of the band regularly attend District Practices and other events.  The tower members belong to the Irish Association of Change Ringers and all are keen to extend their knowledge and experience.

We welcome visitors, ringers of any standard or non-ringers who might be interested in learning.  If you are interested in learning to ring and becoming a Bangor Bellringer, or if you wish to simply visit our tower, then please contact either the Tower Captain or Tower Secretary for more information or pop into the tower.

Practice Night :  Friday 19.30 - 21.30                                                                    Sunday Service: 10.00 - 10.30
